Nursing (BSN-DNP)

Description

Indiana State offers an online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program for Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP).

This post-baccalaureate, online Doctor of Nursing Practice, FNP Track is a 78-credit-hour, seven-semester, full-time program designed to train nurses for the Family Nurse Practitioner role and the ability to sit for a national certification exam with the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Students will complete 1,100 clinical hours throughout the curriculum consisting of 750 precepted, clinical practice hours and 350 additional faculty supervised/mentored, clinical hours for their DNP Project. The curriculum is mostly delivered asynchronously online. Each semester a few synchronous sessions are scheduled in advance for instruction and final presentations.

Required Courses

Indiana State University’s Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) curriculum is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Graduate students may be eligible for federal student loans if they are admitted into graduate degrees (or first-time teacher certification programs) and meet other eligibility requirements. Certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid. Private alternative loans can help students pay college expenses that may not be covered by federal loan programs or other financial aid. In addition, students may be eligible for payment plans and veterans benefits. On-campus degree-seeking students may be eligible for special scholarships for residents of Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and the Midwest Consortium.
