Space Utilization Department

THE SPACE UTILIZATION DEPARTMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING RECORDS AND DATABASES OF THE ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE ON THE INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

Data maintained for each campus building includes current room numbers, room types (hegis code), room assignments, occupant or room definition, and assignable net square footage by room. This information is utilized to provide documentation required for federal Facilities & Administrative overhead reimbursement rate, and the Indiana Commission of Higher Education to be used in the allocation of state funds for capital repair and maintenance of facilities as a part of the state budget cycle.

The Space Utilization Department also provides various other reports regarding the usage and assignment of campus space.
