Dr. Maldonado received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Maldonado's research primarily focuses on understanding cognition across the lifespan. Specifically, he examines how the cerebellum helps supports ono-motor cognitive processing using non-invasive stimulation (i.e. tDCS) techniques. Moreover, he looks to understand how changes in the cerebellum might affect cognitive processing in advanced age. Dr. Maldonado has also started a new line of work in which he assesses cognition as a buffer against death anxiety.
Dr. Maldonado currently teaches courses in cognition and cognitive neuroscience.
