Annual Reporting Measures

1. IMPACT ON P-12 STUDENT LEARNING

a. Description of Assessments/Measures

  • Impact on P-12 student learning data is collected through an open-ended question on the College of Education's Completer Satisfaction Survey which is distributed annually.
  • The Indiana Department of Education provides limited data to institutions to demonstrate impact on student learning.  Although not a direct measure of student impact, the teacher effectiveness ratings include student growth data.

b. Data provided in the link below is a summary of qualitative responses from the College of Education's Completer Satisfaction Survery from Fall 2018.  Data presented for reporting measure 2, Teaching Effectiveness can also be considered for P-12 student impact.

 

2. INDICATORS OF TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS

a. Description of Assessments/Measures

  • Data to support teaching effectiveness is collected through responses to an open-ended question on the College of Education's Completer Satisfaction Survey.
  • The Indiana Department of Education provides the EPP with data compiled during the annual teacher evaluations.  Teachers are evaluated on four Domains: Planning, Instruction, Leadership, and Core Professionalism.

b. Data provided at the link below is a summary of data provided by the IDOE and a summary of qualitative responses from the College of Education's Completer Satisfaction Survey from Fall 2018. 

 

3. SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYERS

a. Description of Assessments/Measures

  • Employer Satisfaction Surveys are distributed annually by the College of Education's Assessment Office to principals who were identified as having a first year teacher teacher from ISU.  Principals are asked to rate their satisfaction of the first year teacher based on elements from the 10 InTASC standards.
  • The Indiana Department of Education distributes surveys to principals to measure their overall satisfaction of first year teachers.  This data is disaggregated and provided to each institution.

4. SATISFACTION OF COMPLETERS

a. Description of Assessments/Measures

  • The Completer Satisfaction Survey is distributed annually to first year teachers who are working in the field to measure their satisfaction with the preparation received from ISU.  The completer survey is based on the 10 InTASC standards.
  • Completer satisfaction data is also provided by the Indiana Department of Education on an annual basis.  The IDOE distributes surveys to first year teachers to measure their satisfaction with their teacher preparation program at ISU.

b. Data provided at the link below is a summary from the Fall 2018 Completer Satisfaction Survey and a summary from the 2017-2018 IDOE data. 

 

5. GRADUATION RATES

a. Data provided at the link below shows Fall 2017 enrollment numbers, degress awared in 2017-2018, and 4 year and 6 year graduation rates. Data are provided by the Office of Institutional Research.

 

6. ABILITY OF COMPLETERS TO MEET LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

a. Data provided at the link below include licensure pass rates for AY2016-2017 and 2017-2018 for initial educator preparation programs and advanced programs (School Psychology, Ed.S, School Administation District Level Ed.S, and School Administration Building Level M.Ed).  Data are provided by the Indiana Department of Education.

 

7. EMPLOYMENT RATES FOR COMPLETERS HIRED INTO THE FIELD IN WHICH THEY WERE PREPARED 

 

8. STUDENT LOAN DEFAULT RATES

a. Description of Assessments/Measures

  • The U.S Department of Education releases student loan default rates annually.  A cohort default rate is the percentage of a school's borrowers who enter repayment on certain Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Programs or William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program loans during a particular fiscal year (FY), October 1 to September 30, and default or meet other specified conditions prior to the end of the second following fiscal year.
  • Data are also provided by the U.S. Department of Education on the average cost of attendance, graduation rates, and student loan information for the institution as a whole.
