Description

Student retention affects everyone at ISU. For students, the loss of academic credit, scholarships, and emotional turmoil are but a few areas of impact. When they fail, they leave the term owing for credit they did not achieve. For the institution, there is a financial loss, accreditation issues, and course and program development complications when students do not succeed. There is information available that predicts who will struggle, and there are ways that we can build our courses that increase the potential for all students to be successful in our classes. Come to this session to hear about ways we can support our students so that they have the highest potential for success in our courses. The presenter is Michelle Mentzer.
