Dr. Jared Yates Sexton is an ISU alumnus, writer, English professor and independent journalist . He began covering politics with Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016. His work has appeared in The New York Times and New Republic, Salon, Politico, The Daily Beast, The Globe and Mail, and elsewhere. He has appeared on MSNBC, CNN International and the BBC. For the upcoming election he’s been in Iowa covering the caucuses, he will be at the conventions this summer and he plans to attend more Donald Trump rallies in the near future.
