Tuition Statement (Form 1098-T)

Form 1098-T Tuition Statement is the information return that colleges and universities are required to issue for the purpose of determining a student's eligibility for an education credit.

Every ISU student eligible to receive a 1098-T will have electronic access to their form or receive a paper form by January 31. Students can access their 1098-T through the MyISU Portal by following the instructions provided below. 

Instructions to Receive the 1098-T in an Electronic Format Only
  • Log on to the MyISU Portal using University username and password.
  • Once logged into the MyISU Portal, select the "MyISU Apps" link on the bottom right.
  • Select the "Student Self Service" badge.
  • Select the "Financial Resources" tab.
  • Select "1098-T Opt Out of Printed Copy."
  • After reading the Electronic 1098-T Disclosure Statement, select "I have read the above Acknowledgement, and I accept." and click "Submit." 

Instructions to Access the 1098-T
  • Log on to the MyISU Portal using University username and password.
  • Once logged into the MyISU Portal, select the "MyISU Apps" link on the bottom right.
  • Select the "Student Self Service" badge.
  • Select the "Financial Resources" tab.
  • Select "1098-T."
  • Enter a tax year, and click "Submit."
  • Once you have accessed your 1098-T, you can print it. You also can view the details behind the numbers on your form at the bottom of the screen. Note that you are not required to submit a copy of the 1098-T with your tax return.
