Bayh College of Education Honor Day is an annual ceremony where our scholarship recipients, high-achieving students, and faculty are recognized for their accomplishments. Family and friends are invited to attend the reception, beginning Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 2:15 pm and the Honor Day program that begins at 3:00 pm in the Tilson Auditorium. The Legacy in Education event celebrates the many accomplishments of educator and human service professional preparation and its significant role in the University’s history. The keynote speaker is Stacey Bess, whose memoir Nobody Don’t Love Nobody inspired the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, “Beyond the Blackboard.” Register Now
Made possible by a grant from Duke Energy, the combination of practical, research-based sessions and renowned speakers at the Power of Reading Summit professional development institute will help all attendees—from teachers to administrators—leave the conference feeling energized. This free professional development institute will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Bayh College of Education, Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Attendees will earn 6 hours of professional growth points. The event is supported by the Indiana State Department of Education.
The Bayh College of Education's BEST (Bayh College of Education Scholars to Teachers) program at Indiana State University is designed to provide a unique educational experience for pre-service teachers. The program recruits students who represent the current demographic of public schools across the state. The BEST program affords future teacher leaders the professional experiences they will need in order to be recognized as educators and leaders who are prepared to take on the ever-changing world of education.
