Fees and Expenses

Nursing students pay the same University fees as other students along with clinical education and faculty course fees or program fees and distance education fees for designated courses. Miscellaneous fees may also be charged for various expenses.

Other expenses specific to the program of study may include preadmission testing, background checks, drug testing, cpr certification, immunizations, professional liability insurance, clinical compliance database, assessment and remediation materials and proctoring (Kaplan Testing Program), uniforms / name pin and equipment as well as books, other instructional materials, and supplies.

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from health care agencies utilized for clinical laboratory experiences.

A computer is necessary for testing programs utilized in the nursing program as well as for completion of many class assignments. The computer should meet or exceed OIT's recommended configuration. Undergraduate distance students are also required to have a Printer / Scanner / Fax.

There are also fees associated with application for R.N. licensure and licensure examination (NCLEX-RN) as well as certification examinations for master's graduates.
