Expertise and Activity Statement

Professor David R. Bolk (JD, Indiana University Mauer School of Law 1985) has taught at Indiana State University since 2013 as an adjunct and joined the department full time in 2017. He served as Vigo County Circuit Court Judge from 2002-2016 and Terre Haute City Court Judge from 1991-2001. Professor Bolk serves on the State of Indiana Board of Law Examiners and actively practices law in adoption matters and serves as a mediator.

At ISU, Professor Bolk teaches courses such as Constitutional Law I (PSCI 317), Judicial Process (PSCI 308), Introduction to Legal Research (PSCI 211), and a variety of Topic Courses (PSCI 421) that include Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law. When not teaching he enjoys cycling, skiing, traveling and pickle ball. Although a native of Terre Haute, he is a fan of Fulham Football Club and has attended many matches at Craven Cottage.
