Expertise and Activity Statement
Nathan Myers received a Ph.D. in Public Affairs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in December 2009. Nathan received his bachelor of arts degree from Knox College in Galesburg, IL and a Master in Public Administration from University of Illinois at Springfield.

Nathan teaches courses in the Master of Public Administration program. His teaching interests include organization theory, research methods, and public policy.

His research interests include public health emergency preparedness and response, policy-making and regulation related to genomic technology, and bureaucratic politics and behavior. His latest research examines collaborations between public, private, and non-profit organizations to prepare for public health emergencies and whether the U.S. Congress is more focused on the promotion or regulation of biotechnology. Nathan has previously published research in Policy Studies Journal, Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law, Administration and Society, Public Integrity, Journal of Health and Human Services Administration, and California Journal of Politics and Policy.  He has also published commentaries on public administration issues in the PA Times and on the PA Times Online. He has presented research at the Midwest Political Science Association, the Western Political Science Association, and Southwestern Social Science Association annual meetings.​

Dr. Myers also serves on the advisory board of the West Central Indiana Area Health Education Center.
